OpenSpace NZ ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. Tradies also provide business details, trade categories, service areas, years of experience, and optionally a profile photo and portfolio images.
Job information: When Clients post a job, we collect the job description, location, trade type, budget range, timeframe, and any photos you choose to upload.
Usage data: We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and page requests for security and diagnostic purposes.

Tradie profiles (business name, bio, trades, service areas, photos) are publicly visible on the platform. When a Client accepts a Tradie's interest in a job, both parties receive each other's name, email address, and phone number. This is the core function of the platform — connecting people who want to work together.
By registering, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account and activity on the platform (e.g. job alerts, connection notifications). You can contact us to opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
Your data is stored on servers hosted in New Zealand. We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
