What a lesson is
Every lesson has the same shape: a question worth wondering about, the story, something to play with, then something to make with the screen put down.
The campus assumes an adult is there. It is landscape first, with big read-aloud type, and it is designed for one screen on the table between you rather than a child alone with headphones.
You are not asked to become a science teacher. The lesson carries the subject; you carry the conversation.
Alongside the lesson runs a quiet line of notes for the grown-up: where to pause, what to ask, when to hand the screen over, and when to put it down and go outside. Every one of them is drawn from that lesson's own words.
It is on by default and hides with one tap, so the child can read a clean page when you would rather they did.
The interactions are the lesson, not decoration. Build the pressure and it erupts; do not build enough and it tells you why, which is the Montessori control of error doing its job without anyone marking anything.
Spin the real Earth and light its oceans, ice and air. Walk the timeline of the universe. Put the golden beads together and watch the number become a quantity.

How it works
Forty-seven courses on a shelf. Within a course there is a gentle suggested path, but nothing is locked and nothing has to be finished before something else can start.
One screen between you. Read the story aloud, play the thing in the middle of it, then put the screen down and make what it asks you to make.
Each child keeps their own record of what they have explored, by strand, ready to print. In New Zealand that is the part that matters when you are keeping records for your exemption.
The campus plays on your screen for whoever is in the room, and that is never policed. What a place buys is that child's own story, kept under their name: what they explored, when, and the printed record you can put in a folder.
The record outlasts the year. A child's work stays open to read, print and download as a spreadsheet for three months after a subscription ends, so a break never costs you the evidence.
It writes into the same learning journal the farm days use, so a family who does both ends up with one record rather than two.
What it costs
